About Us

The Academy was founded in 2023, and the Dance School was founded in 2018.

The Company started in order to create an opportunity for dancers to have more time to live their dream as a dancer. If you want to dance more to achieve your dance dreams or if you don’t fit into the big social environment, then this School is for you. The School offers more time to build a social connection with a much smaller group of learners, providing a more focused and more helpful environment.

Tutor Centre

Times: 7:30 AM for 8 AM

Need own device such as laptop, etc.

Dance Subject

We teach technique; background of dance; choreography, etc. Leaners will do practical and Theory and will be marked on their knowledge.

For the leaners that would like to have their Dance Teachers one day. After level 10 pass, learners will have their Dance Teachers. They will get a certificate as they pass each level.

Team

We have Four Qualified Dance Teachers and One Tutor.

As a Tutor Centre we provide different platforms, such as Impaq; Think Digital; Teneo Etc (Afrikaans & English). All Style Dance Classes and one hour Private Class together with Tutor Class are include in the package.

Monique Badenhorst

Owner & Founder of The Dance Company SA

Monique is the owner and Founder of THE DANCE COMPANY SA & THE DANCE COMPANY SA ACADEMY. There are two branches; one in Benoni and one in Bonaero Park. She has competed multiple times overseas. She is extremely passionate about what she does every day. She is thankful to God & His blessing over the company. She has received overall Best Dance Studio several times.
THE DANCE COMPANY SA received overall 2nd Place in the World finals in Serbia. Also other placings for Top 6. In July THE DANCE COMPANY SA received overall 1st place World Championship. Due to this competitive industry and dancers that compete a lot, we decided to open up an Academy School where students can go to school, do their dance Teachers and have enough time to focus on their dancing.

Amy Powell

Dance Teacher

Amy Hyde started dancing at the age of 3 years old as a little ballerina. By the age of 7 she started Modern, Contemporary, Musical Character, Jazz and Tap dancing.
By 15 years old Amy had received her Gauteng Colours and represented South Africa in Serbia in 2013 at the Dance Fest Novi Sad. She then represented South Africa in New York City in 2014, 2015 and 2016 at the Talent America International Championships. She also then started freestyle and Slow dance in 2015 at SADTA where she became Champ by 2016 where she then started Ballroom and Latin and competed in the Professional section with her dance partner. Amy then found her love and passion for teaching in 2017. As a dance teacher, sharing her passion of dance with all the students is something she loves to do.
